Sherpa Animas Camper Roof Rack for 2005–2023 Toyota Tacoma
Why We Run It
Put a camper on your Tacoma and you end up with a big flat wall of air right behind the cab, plus a strip of roof you're not using. The Animas fixes both, which is why it ends up on so many of the 2nd and 3rd Gen Tacoma camper builds we do at the shop. It's on our own shop Tacoma too.
It bolts to the cab roof in front of your GFC, Alu-Cab, Super Pacific or other camper and gives you a solid spot for recovery boards. Go with the half-height fairing and you can run a roof light bar up there as well.
The part we didn't expect to love as much: the fairing tremendously cuts down the wind noise a camper adds, and smoothing that air out helps your gas mileage too. Quieter cab, better mileage, more storage. Easy call.
From Sherpa
Taking our tried and true rack system and stuffing them in front of your truck bed camper.
This rack provides you with 3-5 crossbars*, two 1/4" mounting feet that utilize the front and middle factory roof mounts, and the choice between our half and full fairings. It's the perfect place for some extra storage, a solar panel, or traction boards.
