The 1/4 Chub | GFC Chase and Dust Light Mounts
Mounting dust lights on a GFC usually means bolting to the extrusion or drilling through the door, and then you're stuck figuring out where the wire goes. Plenty of folks shove it between the door and the frame and call it good enough. We don't work that way. My brain can't handle something that sloppy.
So I walked over to the camper, looked at the strut mount hardware, and thought: flip it around and thread it into a mount. Our designer ran with it, we tested it, and it worked awesome.
Then we made it look like it belongs. The pockets and lines come straight from design details already on the GFC, so the Chub looks like it was made right alongside the camper, not bolted on after.
Each one is machined from a solid chunk of 6061 T6 aluminum, weighs a quarter pound (hence the name), and gets a black UV stable anodize so it won't fade.
Mounting the light is easy. Running Baja Designs S1s? Use the 1/4-20 hardware Baja includes. Running S2s? Swap their hardware for a 1/4-20 bolt and you're set.
We include a drill jig, so you know exactly where your wire goes. No guessing, no wire pinched in the door.
Two Chubs. Two holes. A whole lotta OCD lighting goodness.
